The WCCC was represented to a one week workshop at the Tonga Family Health Association. This workshop aimed at reviewing the last National Strategic Plan (NSP) for HIV/STI and to suggest recommendations for the next NSP.
Since Domestic Violence, rape, child abuse are very closely link to STI/HIV, a very detailed, positive and fruitful discussion went well during the workshop.
Government Ministries, NGOs and Stakeholders were there for preparing of the next NSP. The participants were eager to lobby and push forward this agenda to the public and recognize its relationships and linkages to each other as we need to work hard collaborate in trying to lessen and even stop these problems.
